Using natural hemp ingredients is central to what we do. We believe that nature has given us all we need to support a healthy body. We use plant-based natural hemp ingredients. We know where ALL of our ingredients come from. We know the soil it was grown in, the water that was used, and the farmers who nurtured it.

We guarantee the purity and safety of the natural hemp ingredients used in all our products.

The chemical profile of the hemp plant contains compounds like terpenes, amino acids, proteins, sugars, enzymes, fatty acids, esters, and flavonoids just to name a few. Hemplucid products contain multiple cannabinoids and terpenes at various percentages, providing our customers the therapeutic benefits and versatility of the plant’s total chemical profile.

Understanding Cannabinoids

Cannabis plants are made up of cannabinoids and terpenes. These little fellas provide the rich benefits that come from the natural hemp plant.

Cannabidiol *CBD is a non-intoxicating component of cannabis that acts as an antagonist of CB1 and CB2 receptors. Clinical research highlights CBD’s potential to promote balance in your body’s most essential systems.

Cannabidivarin Although research on CBDV is still in its initial stages, recent studies have shown promise for its use in many ailments. This is due to its action at TRPV1 receptors and modulation of gene expression.

Cannabigerol CBG inhibits the uptake of GABA, a brain chemical that determines how much stimulation a neuron needs to cause a reaction. When GABA is inhibited it can decrease muscle tension. The research surrounding this specific cannabinoid (and its effects) are somewhat limited.

Cannabichromene *CBC is produced through an enzymatic process that takes place in the trichomes of the plant. This process involves the conversion of cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) into cannabichromenic acid (CBCA) by an enzyme known as CBCA synthase.

Cannabinol *By all accounts, CBN is the cannabinoid responsible for the sedative effects of cannabis. Research on cannabinol (CBN) is still lacking, but some early studies have suggested it could stimulate bone growth.*

Cannabidiolic acid *CDBA is said to reduce inflammation throughout the body.

<.3% THC

Tetrahydrocannabinol *Though THC is responsible for the “high” of cannabis, we have kept this cannabinoid in our products at its legal limit of <0.3%. THC is synergistic with the other cannabinoids and enhances their value.

Understanding Terpenes

Besides affecting aroma and flavor, some evidence suggests that they may also modify the effects of natural hemp.

β-myrceneMyrcene (or β-myrcene) is a terpene that occurs often in fragrant plants and herbs such as mangoes, hops, bay leaves, lemongrass, and basil. It is thought to have sedative effects.

α-Bisabolol or levomenol While it has long been widely used in the cosmetics industry, bisabolol has more recently become the subject of research for the medical benefits it displays in cannabis.

β Caryophyllene β Caryophyllene is the only terpene known to interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (CB2).

Cannabichromene *α-Humulene contributes to the “hoppy” aroma of cannabis. This terpene acts as an appetite suppressant.

Secondary Terpenes *Guaiol is an alcohol found in the oil of guaiacum and cypress pine. It possesses antimicrobial properties.

Secondary Terpenes *Linalool has a floral scent reminiscent of spring flowers, but with spicy overtones. It is an effective stress reliever.

Secondary Terpenes *Borneol has a menthol aroma and is used as a calming sedative. It is also beneficial for combating fatigue and recovering from stress or illness.

Secondary Terpenes *Isopulegol is a chemical precursor to menthol and has a variety of promising routes for therapeutic research.
